A simple, but haunting melody in triple time, with a vaguely French accent.
Although the melody is original, it makes you feel, as the title suggests,
that you've heard it before- but you don't know where or when.™ |

A Chopinesque, highly perfumed, romantic, nocturnal ballad of
restrained rapture. Or, another composition in a minor key in two-part ABA form, with
some really good
neo-classical counterpoint, in search of a romantic movie in which to appear.

The opening adagio movement introduces a second movement of an altogether
different and breathless character. The new main melody takes off in a dervish
and picks up a second supporting theme in its wake. The two race
around together and,
after spending a short time in a major key, take a deep breath,
collapse into a coda
of yet another turning which finally gallops toward the finish line
in a sonic climax.. |
