| 'Christian Meth': an improvisation on the DX-7--I recorded the MIDI into Cakewalk, fixed it, orchestrated it, cut it in pieces of every imaginable size, processed, spit up, chewed out, upchucked, confined within a block of dried peat moss, stored in an unlit basement in a locked file cabinet in a disused bathroom with a sign that read "Beware of the Leopard" on the door, mixed, remixed, agonized over, remixed again, and once again to be absolutely sure, finally slapped with a fretless guitar solo I performed to a different track in a different tempo and different key recorded two days before the initial keyboard improvisation. It's a bit thick, but not as thick as I make it sound. |
