Album Notes: "I was immensely saddened by the death in 1991 of Leo Fender. Although I was never able to meet the man, my own life would have been vastly different had he not created his revolutionary Precision Bass Guitar. At the back of my mind was 'Goodbye Pork-Pie Hat', Charlie Mingus' tribute to Lester Young. Ray extended my basic melody."

Album Notes: "The title, slightly borrowed from an old jazz standard, is my simple way of referring to Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. Ronnie, the eponymous hero, was my manager in the late 60s and early 70s. I learnt a lot at that club. When he died in 1996 I was amongst the thousand people who braved the cold to pay their respects to this jazz legend. He was clearly loved - and he is certainly missed."

Album Notes: "Essentially a much simplified version of a tune that I recorded in 1991 on Southern Reunion. Playing unaccompanied fretless bass in a church is an intensely rewarding and emotional experience. "
