Tune in to our new classical radio station at
live365.com!
Hi! I'm Vicky, the artist's wife. We hope that you will enjoy John's music.
A new independent short film,
The Beauty of Touch (PG for nudity),
directed by Canadian filmmaker Jonathan Robbins,
can be seen in a QuickTime
version on Kevin Spacey's
Triggerstreet.com, and streamed or
downloaded at johnmitchell.org/touch.html.
The film's music is from John's piano trio.
"Piano Trio (2) didn't disappoint me in any way. It's a lovely piece which
is well performed, well written. It touches me where only truly great classical
music touches me. It sets me adrift to far off places that are placid and yet
filled with adventure. This is where big emotions live and dwell. The
recording quality is professional, and even though it's encoded at a 128kbps
44100 kHz rate it still sounds excellent. I recommend this to every soul on the
planet."---Ken Warp, ArtistLaunch.com
"Mr. Mitchell's work (Piano Quartet, Op.27) is hands down one of the best original compositions
you'll find online anywhere: You won't find too much music on the net that
matches the quality of this work, both in terms of compositional skill and
performance wise. If you're a fan of classical or romantic music, and getting
tired of listening to the same composers over and over then I suggest you take a
look at Mr. Mitchell's site. You won't find too much "new music" written in this
kind of style, at least not on recordings, and definitely not in the world of the
internet." ---Ryan Tanaka, Gods of
Music.com (Featured Artist-December 2002)
"I'm a playwright, and tonight I was
wandering around the net, looking
for a good reason to avoid working.
The MITCHELL IN MOSCOW recording
turned out to be a terrific one.
Bought the MP3 files and am enjoying
the music no end. Hope more of your
chamber music will become
available."---Jeffrey Sweet
"Play your song. It's cool!"---Sabino Goodlow (age 5)
"Entre partitions classiques, envolées lyriques et élans
rock, les créations du compositeur américain
John Mitchell révèlent toute la magie émotionnelle
de ce savant mélange." ---Nathalie Michallon,
Puerta
"..intricate, evocative and true music...romance,
grandeur, and style." ---Jeffrey Stackhouse
(pictured as the telepathic villain in Escape
from Orion, release Spring 2003)
"You are a great composer.
I didn't know there were any of them
out there any more."---David Bagno
