And thus concludes Day 1 of demo recording! We have changed the name of the forthcoming demo from "Foofty" to "The Life and Times of Mr. Sock." this goes with a strange story that happened in the studio today...well, not so much a story, but there are interesting pictures. ANYWAY, we got "Dragon's Lair" completely done (we even made some changes and did an alternate version) and "Push It" needs only vocals yet. we also, just for shoots & giggles, recorded a cover of Kittie's "Brackish," which we've been playing for a while. originally we were taking the cover seriously, but when it came time to record vocals...well, that sort of changed. also Tom Hellenbrand (drummer of Knife Party (a band way better than us), who is producing/mixing/engineering/recording/mastering the demo, contributed by writing & playing some bass on "Push It" and played the guitar "solo" in "Dragon's Lair" because Dr. Ducks effed it up like 200 times and Tom is way more talented. so yeah. that's the news for now. as soon as the tracks are mastered, i will put something up here for you! (ps: "Push It" sounds absofrickinlutely awesome! i almost don't want to eff it up by putting my horrid vocals over it!)

We're not dead! yeah, we're still here, even though nothing's happened lately. there is a new recording of "dragon's lair" that we did last month that was supposed to be for "Foofty" but it ended up not being good enough. it's on our acidplanet.com site (duck in the machine version). anyway, we will be doing our first ever live show on Friday, July 12 at duck & Taal's house in Marshall, for Taal's birthday party, but anyone can come for the show (time not set yet) and then another one up in Germantown for our friend Power Pete's birthday, but that one i think is invite only. in other news, we got covered! our friends Cats Not Dogs, formerly The Shattered, OPENED their set on June 11 with "Dragon's Lair." I personally crapped my pants.

the "El Chupakabra mix" of Dragon's Lair has been approved and you guys can listen to it here! isn't that exciting? anyway, The Shattered, some friends of ours, have asked us to open for them, so maybe in a few weeks we'll be doing a show with them. for now, on monday the 21st, the band will be getting together for the first time since we finished "Lunch Lady" to (a) practice, and (b) begin recording "Foofty." we are preparing to do shows, so expect us to be doing at least one in the next couple of months. also, once "Foofty" is finished, you won't be able to get "Lunch Lady" off of this site anymore, so if you want the .mp3.com version with the bonus tracks, you'd better get it quick. however, "Foofty" with bonus tracks will be available here.

this morning i finished and uploaded "Dragon's Lair (El Chupakabra mix)," which is a new mix of the "Death to Greg" version, but it's complete. it took me about 3 hours to mix it, but it's cool. you should be able to download it in a few weeks, since we're a "basic" artist.

The vocals get a little quieter for some reason during the 2nd verse, but whatever.
