Like Dolorosus Ictus - lots of panflutes, hammering drums and demonic vocals! |

My first composition "Dolorosus Ictus" is a very melodic and hymnic song full of folkloristic influences and melodies. I tried to orientate myself by traditional Skandinavian, nordic Folklore, to create my own "folk song" and to translate it into modern metal music, orcestrated with modern instruments. The song tells the story of the speer of destiny, Jesus Christ was stabed with by a Roman legionnaire after being crucified and which was ascribed supernatural forces to. "Dolorosus Ictus" contains pan flutes, an acoustic guitar part, shrieking black metal vocals and powerful drums, which remind one of the "Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri"-album by Falkenbach. |

This is a very cold sounding Black Metal song with lots of blastbeat and some quite meditative parts. The lyrics are about the ancient legend of the hyperboreans, who lived "beyond the northwind".
This kind of music is not what Lifthrasireon will be in the future! I just liked stuff like Ulver, Immortal und Burzum at the time when I made the song. My next songs will sound more like Dolorosus Ictus again... |
