The Mentat School's debut "The Futurist Manifesto" is an all synth, sonic odyssey that turns from the compelling spaciness of songs like "Passing White Lines" and "The Modular Man" to the scathing, self indulgent humor of "The Future is Loud (Digital Hardcore Remix)" and "This One Goes Out To all my Twisted Mentats" without the slightest warning or provocation. Despite the album's daring eclecticism, the cohesive layering of melodic synths and subtley intricate beats give the recording a surprising air of continuity.
UPDATE!!! Due to numerous obstacles such as equipment failure, layout problems, and ordering technicalities with the pressing plant the Futurist Manifesto has still yet to be released. All these issues have been resolved now and The Mentat School plans on releasing The Futurist Manifesto by late Sept./early October.

The Modular Man is "Future Shock" author, Alvin Toffler's archetype for the disposable humans of the modern world. The disenfranchised modules, the living commodities that are easily disposed of after they have run their course of exploitation. |
