Search, grab, hide and run :: |
In
a more and more complex and labyrinthine dark electrified cyberspace, internet
users are nowadays browsing pages like PAC MAN explored his own labyrinth
in our first computers.
It is a matter of fact that most of internet users are considering this
specific behaviour as the prototype of their daily behaviour in a hostile
and unknown environnement : search, grab, hide, and
run.
Billions of people played with the famous arcade system when they were young
and most of them had their first contact with an electronic "intelligence"
on the basis of a 'pac-man like' experiment. Babies with a small brain,
took PAC MAN for their unique model in life, and have finally learned computer
language through those few simple schemes : search, grab,
hide and run.

The Pac Man Philosophy Spreads Terror On Internet :: |
Both
influencing minds of populations of new cyberspace users, and still considered
by experienced computer game programmers as a model of gameplay, the Pac
Man philosophy is the alpha and the omega of every virtual computer experience.
The problem comes from the fact that if yesterday the labyrinth was just
included in a 15' screen and in the memory of a small circuit, today, in
this virtual world, the labyrinth is the world itself. Yesterday,
Pac Man was one of the dumbest intelligence ever created, but it was strictly
inprisonned in a circuit ; today, Pac Man seems to be everywhere and nowhere.
Today unleashed, Pac Man haunts Internet like a ghost.
