The band Fyrestone was formed in 1999 by Michael and Stephanie Firestone after working previously as solo artists. Now the band consists of Michael on vocals and guitars, Stephanie on vocals and bass and Scott on drums (percussion). The bands major influences are Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Prince, Michael Jackson and Pearl Jam. Each member brings a certain uniqueness to the band that has helped create the sound that is Fyrestone. Michael Firestone was born in December, 1978 in Rome, NY. Being raised in a military family he was forced to move around a lot. Also, being raised by parents who listened to artists that ranged from Kiss to Kool n the Gang, he was exposed to a wide variety of music. By the time Michael was a teenager he had developed a knack for getting attention by singing and doing uncanny impressions of Steven Tyler and Michael Jackson. He entered as many talent shows as he could do and while in high school released a solo album called "Don't Have Time". While in high school he started tinkering with the guitar and after graduating, moved to Las Vegas and became serious about not only playing guitar, but also keyboards, drums and bass. His major influences in music are Joe Perry, Jimmy Paige, Oasis and Michael Jackson. Stephanie was born in June, 1979 in Staunton, VA. She was also raised in a military family that kept her relocating from place to place until high school. Poetry was always very important for expressing her feelings. By the time she was out of high school, she was turning those poems and thoughts into lyrics. Stephanie's major influences were Stevie Nicks, Aerosmith and Prince. Scott was born in January, 1984. Coming from the musical town of New Orleans his obsession for music began at an early age. When he was in the 5th grade he had decided that the musical instrument he wanted to master would be drums. Scott's major influences Dave Abbruzzese, John Bonham, Pat Wilson, Carter Beauford, Matt Cameron and Jimmy Chamberlin. Fyrestone immediately fell in love with Scott's playing style. A style which is that of pure feeling and power.
