So there I was sitting at my computer trying to come up with a way to record a few chords that I threw together on my guitar before I forgot them.
I figured out how to plug my acoustic guitar into my comuter going through my
practice amp. Then I downloaded some free recording software.
My new software allowed me to do multi-track recording which meant I could record vocals
separately and add them later. It also enabled me to do my own backup vocals.
So, now I had a chord progression and a way to record it but I didn't have lyrics. I
threw together some lyrics so I could test out my new "recording studio" I bought a $20 mic and plugged it in and laid down a vocal track. Then I laid down a backup track.
This was all pretty cool but the vocals needed effects so I used Windows Recorder to throw the
cheesy echo on the vocals.
This was the birth of "Always There" as it appears here. I wanted to play with it more so I took the next day and wrote "A Better Place".
Anyway, These songs are really just an experiment but I thought they might be worth listening to.
