Since 1998 Seattle area band Bittersweet*Soul has been using its eclectic mix
of rock, funk, r&b, blues and just about anything else you can think of to
spread the word with a no-nonsense (far from "sugar coated") approach. When all is
said and done, they hope to have reached as many people as possible with their
heartfelt message and though they have had their share of member changes and
audience "no-shows," they show NO signs of stopping any time soon!
"It all started with a box of color crayons," says singer Jake Marsh. "We were trying to find
something to go with Soul and we were pulling the dang things out of a box! I grabbed this
orange-ish, yellow color called "Bittersweet" and the rest is history!
After hearing a little bit more of the music I figured the name described the overall product...
product in the sense of the literal definition--something produced--MY music!"
