SloRoll is a high energy modern rock band formed in the fall of 2001. Michael Davey, Mark Whitaker, Corey Siegle, and Nik Cougar Mellencamp (no relation), met in Nashville TN. Each had moved to the music city for its endless supply of gigs and its blooming rock scene. Over the years, the four crossed paths many times in an elaborate mix of sideman gigs, studio work, and chick singer dramas. Eventually when nothing else satisfied, SloRoll was born. Within a year, the band has written a full set of tunes, recorded a five song E.P. (to be released in December 2002), and played anywhere they could ranging from laundry mats to opening for national touring acts. SloRoll will be in the studio again in January and plans to hit the road in the spring and summer 2003.
