NEO Camerata combines the forces of virtuoso instrumentalists, riveting original music, anda bold pop-inspired performance style to create an entertaining and profound experience that defies the boundaries of convention.
The energy of the group is very international and eclectic, with the five members originally from four different countries. Bulgarian violinist Vesselin Demirev has drawn rave reviews for his work as soloist with orchestras in both the US and Europe. Pianist Valeria Vetruccio's Carnegie Hall debut in 2001 was a great success, and violinist Jamie Desautels has appeared on The Tonight Show and Late Night with David Letterman with the David Byrne Band. The cohesion of the ensemble, however, suggests more the closeness of the brothers in the group, composer/violist Mark Landson and cellist John Landefeld.
