Reminiscent of Vince Guaraldi's 'Linus and Lucy', Surfing explores the melodic possibilities of 2 saxophones over a pumping osstinato line. |

This quirky original references the writing style of Thelonious Monk. It's catchy, but rhythmically complex. At the same time, one can just listen to the melody and enjoy the tune without thinking about the musical density of the song. Written for one of my favourite Dicken's characters from A Christmas Carol, Mr. Fezziwig is a popular song from my debut CD, 'tales from the blue lounge'. |

Big is a Manciniesque tune that could easily be the theme for a remake of Our Man Flint or Matt Helm. This version features a great organ solo by Dave Restivo, some whicked trading between guitarist Jake Langley and tenor sax man Bob Brough and a wild alto solo by Richard Underhill. The song is featured on Richard Underhill's new album, 'tales from the blue lounge'. |
