    		MADCAP 1990-1993, Concord, California. Self proclaimed "Psycore" (Psychedelic Hardcore), this band was as influenced by music as it was by interesting literature, art, and spoken word. Influenced by Pink Floyd, Butthole Surfers, Soundgarden, Salvador Dali, Harlan Ellison, and Jello Biafra, the intention was apparant. Four friends set out to contribute their vision of the direction of metal in the early 90's. Half the band wanted to get weirder, half wanted the band firmly grounded in the roots of metal. With a revolving door of bass players, the band's sound evolved and changed with each new lineup. Half the band didn't have their own gear and the other half the band got fed up. This site is dedicated to the memory of Ben Platfoot.
