The Ungrateful from Gothenburg, Sweden has been around for about ten years.
They have produced and recorded two full length albums; Beauty of disgrace (1993) and New Blood (1995) that gained very good reviews in Swedish as well as international press.
Until recently things have been on ice for a couple of years, but now they are once again ready to release a new album.
The third album, which is called Towards the same end will be recorded during October/November 2002 and hopefully reach the record stores in the late spring of 2003.
Their two initial albums consisted of pure heavy metal, influenced by among others Iron Maiden, Metallica and Black Sabbath but with Towards the same end the band takes a qualitative step in their progress and leaves the classical heavy metal scene behind.
Chapter closed.
The have now found new horizons to conquer and with their new album they tie together a string of new themes in their music. The Swedish band Kent meets American Faith no more and Garbage. U2 from Ireland is also a very big source of inspiration to them.
Towards the same end reflects their recent musical development and the lust for experiment shows itself in new ways. The new material form a uniform production with well thought out arrangements.
