A couple walks along the shores of the Rhone. They look back on the road they have travelled together. With much the same imagery of "Starry, Starry Night" the river itself offers breathtaking reflections. Rivers seem to have an effect that almost forces one to reflect on life, as they reflect that which they deem worthy. |

A beautiful and haunting melody that flows from the hearts of a people searching for identity. Under the stars which shine like a hope of future salvation, the uneasy light of the cafe attracts and ensnsare them, threatening with a ruin which is terrifyingly close at hand. |

With the happiness and buoyance that this flower represents, this song of the same name has it's purpose. Van Gogh decorated his little yellow house at Arles, France with a wide collection of these "Sunflowers" paintings, of which this one - "Sunflowers II" - is my favorite. |
