Time is being filtered through a faulty seive, leaving nothing but the empty hole and a disappointed seive-holder. Who is that seive holder, you ask? We don't know. What does this mean? It means that we are waiting, waiting for Ryan to move down to San Francisco and join ranks with the much-hyped King Nine (New York Times: "The Best Band to Come out of America Since ___ [insert favorite band here]"). Below are songs from the late 20th century, soon to be REMOVED FOREVER and closed into the Disney Vaults along with other such favorites as JFK (the person, not the airport), Walt Disney (the person, not the empire), and America's sense of common sense. There will be more songs comming up that may actually be on Ryan's first album, not yet titled (Half Mile Records). Stay tuned, and download these songs fast if you ever want to hear them again (think: a kidnapper will be sending you bits and pieces of these songs until you finally break down and cry out, "No More!" -- Enjoy the beautiful weather.

Ok, ok. So this is not EXACTLY a Ryan Polivka song. This is a pretty little song from 1997 that I recorded with longtime songwriting-partner and friend, Boone Spooner. Think of this as a pro football player's footage of high school highlights. E-mail me with your interpretation of the lyrics, and the best guess gets a great prize! |

This is the other song that Boone and I recorded in our "P.S." sessions. Another acoustic treasure, although it is not specifically Ryan Polivka material; keep in mind that I have definitely evolved over the five years between recording this and now. |

A very, very old song. I wrote this in 1994! But it still holds up with many of the songs that I'm writing now. I guess it's that whole teenage angst thing - just can't fake those emotions when you're 23... Once again, laides and gentlemen, a project with Boone and Bill Spooner. |
