| This is Angel Fix's post-9/11 song. It's not about towers or airplanes, nor are there any mentions of victims or perpetrators. Moreover, it pertains to the gloomy ever-present malaise that permeated daily life as the world was bracing for the inevitability of retaliation. Strangely, the song's ending was taking shape just as the assault on Iraq was unfolding before us. I think the listener will notice the rush of adrenalin that just seemed to force its way into the song's final movement. Possibly a byproduct of our exposure to relentless media coverage of the assault. But, oh yeah, the song is not about a war, it's just a song about the way we were feeling. OK? |
