Willie Nelms has been playing music for more than 35 years. An early "garage band product" (He claims they really DID play in garages back in the 60s when he started out),he is best known today as the Bass player for the Tar River Boys, an Eastern North Carolina bluegrass group.
As his picture on this page shows,he is still not above (or below) riding the bass 'rockabilly style' when the need arises. His most recent projects include humorous songs with a hint of social commentary and a strong dose of political incorretness.
Blessed, (..or cursed, depending on you perspective) with a voice seasoned by too much George Dickel Tennessee sipping whiskey and too many cigars over too many years, he is devoted to using traditional acoustic music to sing about modern themes. Willie is commited to the idea that music should be fun....for both the performer and the listener.
