After a full day in the studio On Friday and a long night of jammin' at Tater's house on the river, we got to our hotel and all passed out around 3:00AM early Saturday morning. Early to rise and rarin' to go, the boys arrive back at Junction Studio after stopping for tj's Whopper's at Burger King. 11:00AM on Saturday morning and right off Bill House plugged in and he, Ironman Mike and tj began laying down the base to this song. We all stood and sat along the walls watching and listening to it take shape. Then Bob Huston, Bill House, Matt Thorpe and Kevin Paul played guitar solo's all with Ironman adding some magical harmonica and the song is sewn up ... a masterpiece in a few hours. Bill House (Lead Solo 2, Ryhthm Guitars), Bob Huston (Solo Guitar 1, Ryhthm), Matt Thorpe (Solo Guitar 3), Kevin STIK Paul (Solo Guitar 4), Ironman Mike Curtis (Bass, Harp, Guitar), tj gerencser (organ). Storm's A Comin' is colourful and very progressive. The Blues AllStars are proud to offer this gem from "The Nashville Sessions". |

Hammond B3 and Blues Harp starts this classic slow Blues with a twist of Chicago Slow Swing from our session buddy, and great Chi-Town Blues cat Kevin (Stik) Paul. Kevin got to the studio on Saturday afternoon in full speed after playing in Chicago the night before on the same bill with "The Fabulous Thunderbirds". TJ playing fantastic organ and Ironman Mike on Blues Harp and bass guitar start this one off. Solos progress from Matt Thorpe to John Cohmer on to Stik then to Bob Huston, Bill House, Paul Cummins & Scott Durflinger. A true Blues instrumental we hope that you all enjoy! |

Saturday morning ... a very busy day. The AllStars gathered to join forces on this epic Blues journey into the eye of the "Storm" ... well 10 minutes of it anyways! Mike Curtis offers this raucas track leading on Vocals, Harp and Bass Guitar and rhythm guitar. As if that wasn't enough ... Mike also closes off the song with a guitar solo! Special appearance by "The Junction Brothers" (Matt, Paul, John, Doc, Bob, Bill and tj) on backing vocals takes this answer/call boogie to new heights. Solos in order of appearance are as follows: Doc Quinn (Solo Guitar #1), Matt Thorpe (Solo Guitar #2), Paul Cummins (Solo Guitar #3), John Cohmer (Solo Guitar #4), Bob Huston (Solo Guitar #5), Bill House (Solo Guitar #6), tj gerencser (Piano), Kevin "Stik" Paul (Guitar Solo #6 with tj on Piano). Mike Curtis takes the final stab and closes the song. Too long, too many solos, too much Blues! Can there ever be too much Blues? Never! |

On Saturday afternoon as the boys were getting ready to wrap it up for the day, John Cohmer said, "I've got one we're gonna do just for the fun of it". He asked Ironman Mike to start off a train on the Blues Harp, Mike also covers off bass guitar on this track. John then tossed in a bottleneck slide intro and Stik steps up to the plate with a rockin' Blues lick. John & Bob Huston start a walk down chording riff and then everyone joins in on the solo hook. Solos in order of appearance are, Matt Thorpe, Kevin "Stik" Paul, Bob Huston, Paul Cummings and Mike and John close with a harp and slide bit. All the jammers return to play the hook and bring you to the explosive ending. "Macon House Jam" inspired by Cohmer and Thorpe's "Macon House Slide" rocks your socks off! |

The very first song of the session. Classic traditional progression. Tj starts it off on the organ and then Matt Thorpe rips off a solo handing it over to Bob Huston and then Bob gives it up to John Cohmer who does his and then lets TJ smooze it out again on organ. Ironman Mike Curtis on bass and harp, Bill House and Scott Durflinger on Rythym guitars. |

While no one could ever cover a Muddy Waters tune as good as the man himself, the boys did a great job on this one. The song features tj gerencser on whorehouse piano, Larry Tater Megill on harp, Kevin Paul on guitar and vocals, John Cohmer on bass, Paul Cummins and Scott Durflinger on rhythm guitar. Recorded on the last day in studio, Blow Wind Blow was the perfect note to end on while still looking forward to the future! |
