**When you think of a country such as Nicaragua, at the heart of Central America, images of war, drugs and corruption drift into your mind's eye.  But if you stop to listen carefully, you'll probably also hear a distinctive drum, a Mayan rhythm and a musical poetry that fills the air nostalgic of the great Ruben Dario.  To Nicaraguans, music and poetry are not just expressions of their history but also a reflection of who they are as a people.  After years of government suppression, quasi - democracies, and catching up with civilization, Nicaraguans are finally ready to export new artistic talent into the world.  And songwriter / artist  Franco Mayo  is the  byproduct of an expression whose time has come...

Today, after years of hard work, determination, rehearsals, and hundreds of performances in the quest to be the next great talent to come out from Nicaragua, Franco is ready to follow in the footsteps of Luis Enrique (principe de la salsa) and Ernaldo Zuniga (baladista), two of the most famous international artists that Nicaragua has produced.

Through his visionary drive to never astray from his ultimate destiny, Franco has taken his fate into his own hands and to date has produced more than thirty songs with the aid of Edgard Orochena, his long time vocal professor and his friend Luis Betanco, a local sound engineer.  The  songs provided through MP3.com serve as a sample of  Franco's work and achievements.
