Good tidings, sufferers of PMS (Post Millennial Stress): it may be that the Funk shall indeed survive past the Age of
Aquarius or the Seventh Great Week or the New Age or whatever you want to call what’s up with the new millenium. It didn’t
always look that way. The denizens of the Negative Earth who conspired to destroy the cosmic groove had all but achieved
their sinister purpose-what with the martini revival and all that. But then came the sudden and unexpected emergence of a force
so potent, so powerful, so psychodynamic, that it cast the enemies of Funk back into the pit whence they had escaped their
tormented servitude. That saving force-a force very much for good, by the way-we may call F’d.
Its origin? Another dimensional plane, which intersects with that of the earth precisely once every 1000 years. At this time, the
force of F’d has chosen to manifest itself as a musical unit, consisting of three transcendental beings-Fej, Ydnar and Jonathan
Dog - accompanied by Mammito, their guardian angel. Their sound? A venereal funk that metamorphosizes what you once
thought was your brain, exorcising that space of the inherited millenniary residue and freeing it for the unlimited potentialities
that are to come.
Indeed, our inter-dimensional heroes have delivered to you now a foretaste of the future that soon dawns-one flushed of the
unholy powers of Negative Earth-via a conventional compact digital audio disk. Four cryptic tracks in all-‘Chillin’, ‘What’s
Up’, ‘U.F’d. O.’ and the eponymous ‘ We’re F’d’. Here Jonathan Dog’s insistent bass and Ydnar’s inexorable driving
beats and breaks underscore the seriousness of the revelations transmitted by Fej, Mammito & Co. As of now only a few
initiates can hope even imperfectly to understand these secret teachings. But not to fear: these four musical numbers are but a
prelude to the ultimate epiphany of truth, justice and super-psychedelic sensation that awaits all who agree to hand themselves
wholly over to the power of F’d. PMS victims in particular are advised to yield to its beneficent force.
