I was amazed. I was influenced. I was even touched. Bernhard Gúnter and Francisco Lopez, two artists in the Minimal genre, had touched me emotionally and musically through their extraordinary soundscapes and concrète music. As I began to delve into more of this genre, listening to that of Steve Roden, Aube, and Zbigniew Karkowski, I soon realized that this was the type of music I wanted to be a part of. I wanted to create minimalistic music, but with a style of my own. This project, Sérðqûíl, expresses my view of music and sound, for what I think it is. I believe every little thing you can possibly hear, is music. Everything flows into a beginning line...like a song...layering together...and then one sound fades, and another enters.. I've realized that a simple buzz, a smash or crash, or even a footstep...anything...can be music. These, and many other recordings that have yet to be made, are my experiments which reflect, and will reflect, my theories and opinions on music, sound and silence. Thank you for your time.
