Mid-Eastern music usually calls for a droning instrument - thus the didjeridu lends itself quite nicely. The percussive didjeridu played with Mid Eastern Odd Meter is most distinctive and indicative of Dave's style and that of the CD Animal Dreams. Dave has managed to get several fantastic musicians who play Oud, Sitar, Nay, Dumbek, and many other interesting world instruments to fuse with didjeridu on Animal Dreams! All of the animal sounds on the CD are sampled from Dave's raw vocal animal imitations. The vocal overtoning segments are combined samples taken from sessions with Ron Holmes and Dave. This CD represents a lifetime of Dave's personal interests and influences. As one listener wrote, "This is a one of a kind CD!"
