| There is as much mind put into this piece as there is heart. The title means "Sad and Lonely" in Spanish. Many things could be written about the material and the methods used in the construction of the score, although they are irrelevant to the actual listening of the music. I prefer not to establish many previous associations even if concrete references abound, mainly because the idea of the piece has no historical or stylistical intentions, being instead of a very intimate and deeply felt nature.

| Solo tenor recorder piece, dedicated to César Villavicencio who plays it. The reason why I wrote it has to do with the bombing and starving of Afghan civilians by the "civilized" West, although at the end what remains is pure Music without political connotations. | |
