Hello everyone!
While this website's been dormant, the music's been flourishing. There are now officially between 6 and 9 tracks to go on the new album. This doesn't include August, Country Song or Monkey On My Back, which all went on an unreleased EP called 'The Holy Thursday Sessions'.
The new LP will be titled 'Dance of the Dairy Queen' and will hopefully reach an hours worth of music. Chris and I have been working on some songs, including Elysa, the Fuck-Yeah Blues (working title) and a newer untitled one.
Evan and I have been scouring the East Villiage for places to play, we think we may have one. Hopefully we can get a show in early August before Ev and Chris split for college.
What's more definate is a Bayonne, NJ show. Think Networking Cafe`, only not a talent night. A full showcase with Green (who's listed on the links site) is most definatly in the works.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Nietzsche is part of 2 independant record labels. Sea Cliffs Records and Barn Records. You can check out Barn Records by clicking on our 'Stations now playing' link. Since these two labels are more about community and recording than any type of distribution, CDs will be done the old fashioned way: burned by one of us Nietzschians. There are above decent to great bands on both these labels, so give em a chance.
The demo-version of Elysa actually uploaded! So have fun listening to the new song on the site :)
Good day!

"August" is the oldest song in Kevin Dugan's repetoir. Written almost a year before there even was a Nietzsche and the Band of Love, it's the first song that brought a new direction to his song writing. |

Kind of like a lullaby, not really? I'm not entirely sure where this is going, but I like it. It's named after my friend Elysa who helped inspire me to write the introduction. One of the original versions (before all the chordes and junk were added) is under 'Elysa and Kevin' if you'd like to be your own special musical archivist :)
Big ups to Chris' incredible bassy job. |

This was recorded in Cody's house on September 2nd. I've had this song (and pretty much all of the songs) floating around for a while. Ignore the introduction in the beginning, we're just silly :) |
