I composed this in complete darkness late at night with headphones back in 1993. I wanted this piece to be emotional and striking. I used a very simple melody line which is quite haunting and melancholy. |

This piece was an experiment in the technique of two-handed tapping. It begins with a triplet style tapping and then changes to a quadruplet style. The sound of the guitar is helped by using a prominent delay effect to pad out the sound. A compressor and chorus effect thickens up what would be a weak sounding guitar piece. It was composed in the summer of 1993. |

This piece was composed for a music competition in the UK which was for young composers. The piece is interesting in its structure in that I used two sets of different sounding drum kits. I also used two guitars for the rhythm section which harmonise the main riff in the intro. I performed this piece to 500 people as part of a music festival we had at school. |
