the basic premise behind teapot lives
(pronounced lives as in nine lives) is one
of faltered fame. It was around this time
that my gallant obsession with a 'certain'
manchester pop star peaked. The vocals on
this track were recorded in a tongue and
cheek, half assed, and sarcastic fashion
representing my disappointment with several
aspects of this artist's fame. Ultimately
this song is about possessing blind devotion
only to discover that the one you are devoted
to turns out to be a scandal. the sort of
people one talks about in the morning over
a steaming mug of tea. the ones who've
become teapot lives. find the rerecorded version of 'teapot lives' on the december 1999 release of 'underneath the shallow' - these petty observations pale in comparison to the destruction forced upon turkey. our thoughts go out to the entire country. learn other adrift musings at - web: http://mp3.com/adrift & http://listen.to/adrift & email: adrift@mailcity.com |
