Arachnid Assassin my favorite band in America. They combine a bevy of differnt influences, ranging from funk, to metal, to punk, to disco. They strive to violate all eardrums in a 3-mile vicinity, the fabled "Three Mile Island" referred to by Assassin fanatics. Once inside the Three Mile Island, Arachnid Assassin weaves listeners into their web of deceit and aural strangulation. Take a listen to fan favorites "Bright Eyes" and "Arachnid Assassin Assassin" to get some sense of their metal-furious improv skullduggery. This supergroup is comprised of members of other massively successful bands. Bass player Andrew Beaton cut his teeth in the doo-wop a cappella Georgetown Chimes, and bolstered his bassery with stints in Team and his solo "Ripe Fruit" project, mastering his craft in a mind-bogglingly short time. Guitarist C. Dave Sahl honed his licks in bands like The Granola Freedom Fighters, Well As Hell, Hot 'n' Crusty, The Elian Gonzalez Project and Juicy Pubic. Drumsmith Andrew Baxter rocks for Boxer these days, in addition to prior efforts with Park Bench Jam, Continent, Sunset 116, Georgetown Jazz projects, The Elian Gonzalez Project, and doubtless hundreds other bands beyond the radar of this webmaster. He is a dynamic dynamo who devours all forms of music in rhythm. Check out these cuts, or do yourself a favor and buy the album. You shan't be disappointed. -Michaelangelo Numminen, Webmaster/Manager, Arachnid Assassin

While not brain surgeons or rocket scientists, Arachnid Assassin excels at rocket surgery. Also known as the "Seven Fingered Glove" jam, from C. Dave's solo effort |

At a memborable Arachnid Assassin show in Perth Amboy, NJ, deranged fan Frederick Clement Kentz IV opened fire on the band, specifically aiming at Andrew Beaton. Amidst the hail of gunfire and shredding from the band (an improvisational metal shred that became this song), Kentz could be heard to say "Curse you Andrew Beaton, for never returning my email!" Once in custody, Kentz admitted to harrassing Beaton and Dean Ween of Ween at their respective email addresses at least twice a week without receiving reply. Beaton couldn't be reached for comment. Kentz reported despises the song, but couldn't be reached for comment in his padded room at the Gaylord Rehab Center. | MP3.com CD: Assault In Harmony - buy it!
