LATZ started as a project between a musician and a non-musician to try their possibilities in creating musical pieces. These pieces could somehow be seen as soundtracks for unseen films, or as a reflection of everything we have seen on tv and in the movies and what we listened to for our past and present.
LATZ was founded in late 1993 by the two members H. J. Mennicken and Michael Bulgrin. H. J. played in several German bands like SEEN LINKS SCHLÖSSER RECHTS, LA LOORA and BOOM OPERATORS and was also involved in recordings of PIG, 2.-KUT, MATADOR and KIEV STINGL. Bulgrin is a graphic artist who owns the label ANGRY FISH MUSIC (Defoliants, God's Acre, Waltari).
