Progressive song, in 3 parts, with classical and hard rock influences. Lyrics inspired by Benjamin Britten's "War Requiem". Arguably one of our best songs!!! |

This is actually not an Elegie song, but a "side project" involving 2 members of the band, keyboardist/guitarist Bent Bredeveien and drummer/bass player Kenneth Aspeslaaen together with fiddle and tin whistle player Martine Lund Hoel. It was recorded in July 1999, produced and engineered by all 3 participants. A lovely wedding march in Norwegian and Celtic folk style!! Robert Jansen claims this is one of the most beautiful songs he has heard in a very long time. Thanks Roberto!!! |
