I remember being in high school the first time I heard jazz great Joe Pass's Virtuoso album on warm summer night. In taking, music lessons through the last year I’ve become reacquainted with my affinity with jazz guitar.
Solo Duet is a compilation of swing, be-bop and Latin jazz standards recorded in my home PC. In these recordings, I play both the rhythm and lead parts, hence the collections’ name. On every piece I’ve taken a shot a creating solo hoping to increase my skill as an improviser.
I hope you have as much fun in listening to these as I ‘ve had recording them.
