This is my web page dedicated to my experimental and minimalistic stuff.  Everything was made simply on a PC (a shitbox, for that matter) and the minimalistic stuff, as you will notice, uses very few actual samples that are combined to form complexities.  What I use to write them:  Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge, ACID Pro, Vegas, Reality, Generator, Rebirth, SimSynth, Probe, Audioactive Production Studio, Retro AS-1, Unity DS-1, Vaz, Voice FX, SpectraLab, Methylphenidate HCL.
