Michael O. Turner has performed as a percussionist since childhood. During his high school band days, Turner began playing drums in various rock, country, beach, and folk-rock bands. This trend has continued into the new millenium. Turner's work has been hailed by critics and his stints in bands have included The Wampus Cats and Shiloh, in addition to session work and performing with a variety of bands in the Southeastern United States. He has been taught by numerous famous drummers including Kenny Aronoff of John Cougar Mellenkamp's band.
