Welcome to Mark Madison's MP3.com site. Mark is starting to release songs from his debut CD "411 Olive Avenue". Why "411 Olive Avenue"? It's the address of the first club that Mark played as a solo artist several years ago. In a way, It's like looking back to his past while the CD is a glimpse into the future. Mark's music combines American and European Folk influences with a touch of the Blues, Pop and Rock. Playing on the tracks are Roek Williams on accordion, Greg Vail on Sax, Ron Breuklander on mandolin and slide guitar and John Wilson on drums and percussion. Todd Van Etten is engineering. Roek Williams had many hits in Europe in the 60's. His group " Roek Williams and The Fighting Cats " topped the charts with songs such as " You Walked Away ", " I Know What I Want ", " I'll Cry ", " Please Don't Go ", Take Your Time " and many others. " Get Yourself A Ticket " was also a hit with his band, " Roek's Family ". Ron Breuklander has played for many years in Praise and Worship groups. John Wilson has recently been on tour drumming for the OC Supertones. Mark is very excited to have all of these great players on the new project. On
09/01/2002, "The Simple Life ( Radio Mix )" reached the #1 spot on MP3.com's North American Folk chart. The song was also #1 worldwide and has reentered the MP3.com Folk Chart in the top 10 on 3 other occassions.
