YES, many of these loops DID have prior musical relationships with each other (GASP!) but we at the Cartel feel there comes a time when (almost) all things must join the (almost) public domain and be subject to the whims of other artists! Some of them may seem rather abstract, but just loop them to the [1] and you will know where we comin' from!
Buy these CDs for USD$13.99 and receive 64 loops each (the maximum number of tracks allowed on an mp3.com CD or we would have given you more.) and pay less than USD$0.22 per loop! Realize that the corporate vaccuum of mp3.com absorbs USD$8.99 from each transaction (64%), leaving the Cartel with only USD$5.00 per CD sold!! SAD!! (another way of looking at it is: buy 2 CDs and you are essentially buying Cartel Director and Co-Director lunch together at our favorite local bistro!! How kind of you!)
Sure, some of these tracks miss the classical definition of "Acid" - some may lean more towards the "industrial" (or even "experimental") side, some may lean more towards the purist-"techno" (or even, good god!... "trance-y") side, but let's face it: once you got all your high-tweaky-filtery stuff, you gotta go somewhere for a bassline or some countermelody, right? Voila - one-stop shopping! =)
The (30) tracks on THIS page represent some of the more "choice" selections from the 3 CDs (10 from each) - a bit to feast your ears upon... You can hear the whole collection at the S.I.C.I. - AcidSynthSamples 1 station. Just remember that Vol. 1-1 is tracks SYN101-SYN164, Vol. 1-2 is tracks SYN201-SYN264, and Vol. 1-3 is tracks SYN301-SYN364. Be sure you listen to Hi-Fi if possible to get the best idea how these are going to translate to your system (even though the actual CDs are of a higher quality than the Hi-Fi stream - USE YOUR IMAGINIATION!!!)
