(Michael Chocholak) Two hands. Six strings. Eight tracks.
This music is from Hotwired which grew out of the Leather Smile release
of Insect Hands (neatly summed up by Thurston Moore as "Crazy") and which
led to the Minds In Collision collaboration with John Shirley
(described by Glenn Branca as "Heaven sent. It's absolutely a classic. I
will cherish it always."). Improvisational instrumentals drawing on rock,
jazz and blues. Quotes for each track are from Ke-Qua-Hawk-As by Misha
.
"Very strong fusion/metal... what's constantly fresh is Chocholak's arena-volume
playing jazzy changes... I thought of Zappa... Metallica... Larry Coryell
and Mahavishnu. Fluent and very nasty." - Option
