Welcome to my mp3 page!
CD Review: Eric Leonard is a very accomplished musician. His playing and writing is original and creative. The trombone is usually not an instrument which comes to mind in connection with music in the fusion idiom. In this recording, Eric surrounds himself with a rhythm section and soloists well versed in the style which allows him the freedom he needs to blow up a storm. (Jiggs Whigham, Trombonist)
CD Review: Your CD is tremendous. You play with such a hip groove in your melody and solo lines. That sound of yours is the greatest, too. The lyricism in you improvisations and the soulful way in which you interpret the compelling melodies you composed are a great joy for me to hear. (Paul Brewer, Trombonist)

I almost hesitate to call this smooth jazz because of its dominant live drums(real smooth jazzers use loops and sequencer a lot). In fact the only similarity to smooth jazz is that it does not contain improvised solos as the other tracks on this CD do. |
