Hello and welcome to my MP3.com web site!
I have tons of older songs and some brand new tunes just sitting around the house collecting dust. Why not put them on a web site? Some of these songs here so far really don't fit-in with any of the bands I'm currently associated with. So, I'll let them reside here, on my own web site for a while.
I presently play lead guitar with two local Cedar Falls/Waterloo area hard rock bands, E.M.T. (Experimental Mind Therapy) (since Oct 2001) and LyinHeart (since Jan 2003). Some past bands I've been in are: Black Eye, K-T Project, Foreplay, CellBlock12, Threshold, Two-Face Janus, E.S. (Exception to the Statistic), Slow Children Playing, Silver Tears, Petting Zoo, Dirty Dream, Power Surge, and Pop Top Rockers. I've been involved with music since the 70's starting out singing. Then onto piano, guitar, and the trombone. I started performing with my guitar in bands in 1981 and have never stopped since. I enjoy playing guitar and singing to the point that I must keep buried in music constantly to feel alive and real. And I love to keep myself and everyone I meet and hang with as happy as possible. I'm always creating music. Writing music is just a natural thing for me.
Recently, I've started my own 16 track digital home studio (Ogle Studios) and have recorded a few local bands such as: Lady Green, CellBlock12, Eve's Method, Black Eye, Empty Self, E.M.T., Stavross, LyinHeart, JCR, Neutral Red, Beau Echo, Silver Tears, Josh Miller solo, K-T Project, and my own solo material. I'm very open to hearing from anyone who wants to record and utilize my knowledge in music so far.
I don't want to sound like a ego here, so I won't go into my accomplishments with music. I'll stop my "about me" thing now. But on a final note, I want everyone to know that we only live once, so let's make the most of it before it's too late. Hey, it's time to rock! Enjoy music, always..... Tom

I guess you could say that "I love this song!" Re-recorded for the 3rd time! This time I've used better mics, a better guitar, took more than one "take" on all parts (to try to get the best), layered guitars and vox better. Sampled Ben's actual voice - so that's on there! Different acoustic solo too! Different vocal harmony. Additional vocal part. Oh, and I was not sick this time around... I had fun re-doing this song. It's my favorite. I re-recorded this to enter into the John Lennon Song Writing Contest (http://www.jlsc.com/). I just sent the entry in the other day. I'll know if I won something by Jan 2004. Good luck to me! |

Totally re-recorded electric version. The outro piece in Little Ben (acoustic) became the intro piece in this newer electric version. It is a lot longer, like two minutes longer actually. Electric guitar added-in, acoustic drums, more vocal harmonies, a big phat guitar solo. And it's in a different key than the acoustic version. It's such a favorite song of mine. And I just love to play it. Powerful! I wish I could play this in a real band someday. Maybe! |

This song was written and recorded in about one hour while my son Benjamin was watching me from his walker. It just flowed so natural and clean. This is such a very simple tune. Very minimal. Fun to play. It means so much to me and my family. It's just some observations and feelings about my son. It's all good. And it's all cool. It's pure and real. |
