Sergio Olivé is a Porto Alegre-based pianist, piper and composer who was born and grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He performs solo, in piano concerts or with his band, playing bagpipe, piano and primitive woodwind instruments with his own repertoire. He has also worked with several singers and composers from Brazil and Argentina. His music, best described as World Music, is the result of a combination of many different sources: Latin-American, Celtic, classical, popular, contemporary, etc.
Sergio Olivé released his first intstrumental CD called "De Tabas e de Castelos" for piano solo of his own compositions in 1995.
In 2001 he released his second CD called "Histórias de Sonhos e Coisas que Voam" of his compositions with a band, in which he played keyboards, bagpipe and a variety of primitive instruments.
