He has worked with Sheryl Crow, Phoebe Snow, Smoky Robinson, The Mahavishnu Project, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra among others. He released his latest CD, "The Adventures of STRATOSPHEERIUS" on D-Zone records. Stratospheerius has been heavily involved in the New York jam ba nd scene, performing regularly at clubs like Wetlands and the Knitting Factory, as well as touring the East Coast and Midwest. They were recent winners of Inside Connection Magazine’s New music Showcase Competition, and have shared bills with Mike Ste r n, Project/Object, Sleigho, The Slip, and more. The group features Joe on six-string electric violin and vocals, Rob Hubbard on drums, Tony Pulizzi on bass, and renowned guitarist Alex Skolnick (who has worked with Testament and Stu Hamm). They mix the progressive jazz/rock sound of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, the pop sensibilities of the Dave Matthews Band, and hip hop funk a la Liquid soul, to create a STRATOSPHEERIC musical experience. This music will stimulate your mind and shake your ass as well.
