(Just so you know, by "electronica" I dont mean the commercial propoganda that has tainted a good genre's name)
(Speaking of genres, the reason I call most of my stuff "electronica" is because I cant narrow it down any further ;)
In any case, I just want to make it a point that in every single song, all sounds are
engineered by me. No EJay and Co. crap with their pre-sampled and pre-mastered loops or basslines or what have
you. Don't get me wrong, I think its fine to have a program make "your music" for you, but
its just that I like to have control over my own experession of music :)
Having said that, the first thing that you will probably notice, (besides the fact that these songs suck ass) is the blatant
disregard I have for any kind of mastering. Although, I do sometimes master my songs somehow (more often, lately), it is not
uncommon to find one completely devoid of stereo separation, or any kind of amp balance... However, taking
that into account (and the fact that I'm completely lazy to remix these into some kind of mastered
versions, although this is still in my power to do as I retain all my project files), I guess you could just
look at this as a kind of... "STYLE". Yep. Unmastered, raw... ELECTRONIC EXPERIMENTATION. That is what you get here ..
