Infringement Infringement is a punk/ska outfit from Sydney. The band has rocked Sydney with their high energy pumping live act and unique mix of punk, groove, ska and jazz flicks since 1997. Years of solid experience on the live circuit has seen Infringement support many Australian and overseas acts; Voodoo Glow Skulls (USA - 1997 tour), Frenzal Rhomb, The Porkers. to name a few. Infringement's History Infringement was hatched (mid-HSC) at Newtown Performing Arts High School. Infringement's popularity has grown quickly in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney (particularly in the all ages scene) where a large portion of the fan-base still resides. The band's audience spirals out now to as far as Melbourne, Adelaide and the north coast of NSW. Return performances at many venues including: The Fitz Cafe, ShoreSocked Festival, Newtown Festival, The Mundowi Music Festival 1998, and St Ives Pop-shuvit festival 1998 and 1999.....just to name a few. TV · All songs from the current EP are featured heavily in new Extreme Sports TV show "High Five" (not the kids show), seen in over 50 countries including Australia (cable TV). · Songs from the popular EP will appear in this years World Skateboarding championship video. · Infringement is set to play live on Channel 31's local music show in March. Releases · Current release is a 6 track EP. · "Move along...nothing to see here" compilation put out by Blind Records (1999). · 3 songs on the "If It Fitz" compilation as part of ArtStart project 1997. · Infringement also appears on the "Oz Noise 1998" compilation.
