The new media are instruments we use to express ourselves. "lowresmedia" is an art syndicate. We do concept, design, digital image and sound editing, film and internet-projects... e-mail us if you like.
lowresmedia is formed around Rolf Geerts and Callista Jippes. Rolf came from the Solar Project (G.P.NL '96), before that he played in different guitar rock bands (anger is an energy G.P.Nl '83). Now he is, weaponed with his Macz and lotz of synthz, producing da tunez and visuals of Lowres.Callista is a media artist, graduated from Minerva, Groningen in 2000. She letz the I travel during the Lowres sessionz, using Vid, Mac and everything else that's necessary for this task. Besides those 2, there are other humans connected to lowres, like dancers, singers and other musicians and artists. Lowres produces a fusion of homegrown, malicious reverberations, dominated by rolling basses and steppin' beats, vibrating yer I'z and Ear'z, oscillating da danzfloors. Influences are from Zappa to punk, from Velvet Underground to electronic dance.
