reaLation. an Albany, NY band, has been together since 1993 when guitarist David Evans and bassist Vincent Lane discovered that they shared a love for the same type of music. The two began collaborating and added drummer Mike Esposito to round out the sound.
Their Debut album 'Sustain' which is conceptual in nature, delves into the depths of despair as it tells the story of one mans battle with himself.
'Sustain' allows the listener to observe sessions between a young man and his psychiatrist. Doctor and patient deal with an array of issues including obsession, self worth, destructive/controlling relationships, success/status, conformity and more. Although the compilation tells a full story each song in and of itself reaches a conclusion.

The members of reaLation. are self-taught and have gained extensive knowledge by observing and imitating their idols; Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Traffic, Yes, Rush, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. These pillars of Rock are the foundation on which reaLation. gets their inspiration.
reaLation. has worked to creating a show that allows the audience an escape everyday life for a few hours and to enjoy a musical experience. By having lights, smoke, characters and a 'BIG' sound, the audience is pulled deeper into the show.
No matter what the size of the venue reaLation. gives its audience; energetic, psychedelic, jazz-rock inspired melodies with an 'Arena Rock' style show.
