Taking influences from far and wide, Murdangurudu throw many exotic ingredients into the cooking pot. One of which is actually a clay pot. The Udu. African in origin, the Udu produces very deep bass. This is combined with the wonderfully tribal sounds of the Australian Didgeridoo, and the Indian percussion instruments the Murdang and Tablas. The artistry of the performance is outstanding, and the soundscape is new territory to the ears. Very earthy. Very soulful. Watch out for a future remix by Digital Orange & Sunrise.

Mostly a live recording this one. In three segments, each with a different rhythm and feel, seemlessly welded together. Check it out!! |
