Hi friends and strangers!
My name is José Travieso and I'm an amateur
composer and performer from Andalusia, in the
south of Spain. I play piano and is difficult to
say in concrete terms what style I do, because I
intent to evolve continually and I like very much
to mix different styles, technicals and ideas. So,
my music can sound in some moment neoromantic, in
other moment minimalist, perhaps expresionist,
immediately classical, or jazzistic, or
andalousian gypsy, ... I conceive the music as an
open and without rules trip, an adventure where
all is possible and where the main objetive is to
enjoy, to experiment and to learn. In this way,
simply I like to say that my music is
contemporary, and I invite all people to listen
it.
So, I hope that you enjoy my music, and for anyone
question, suggestion, critic, proposition, etc.,
don't doubt in e-mail me. You are welcome.
All the best,
José :-)

«Jazz in Minimal-Andalusi Clef».
Length 6:05. Composed in summer of 2000 and finished and recorded in march of 2002. «Jazz in Minimal-Andalusi Clef» is an experimental piece where I try to reunite and to reconcile four styles very opposite between them: jazz, minimalism, andalousian gypsy and the sporadic technics. It was a complex and difficult work, but I believe that finally I could make it. It's a piece
difficult to describe... So then, listen it! |

«Cool Swing 69».
Length 5:08. Composed in autumn of 2001 and previous epochs. It's a cool, joyful and unworried piece of more conventional jazz written for electric guitar and piano, with a nice and lively swing and full of melodies and dynamism. Unfortunately you only can to listen now here the track of piano, but it will be possible in the future to listen the complete version of the piece. |
