Music Improvisation Diary
Sorry to disfigure this music page with this ad.
But I think that Pres. Bush and the current US administration
are bringing desaster to the US with their policies.
In the short term, the battle for Iraq will be won by the coalition.
However, in the long term, international terrorism will be strengthened, and that is the
fault of this administration's disregard for international law and opinion.
As a friend of America and its ideals, I feel very sadddened by this
development.
Since many years, I have improvised music on my keyboard.
The sounds which came out, were not very structured, but captured the very personal "mood of the day".
They are neither analytically planned, nor are they groundbreaking novel.
Instead, I let myself get carried away in a sea of phrases and classical clichees, playing with
well-known harmonies,
following a phrase, trying out, experimenting, letting the fingers go over the keyboard as they wanted to go.
The recordings on this page are not finished works.
They are live captured "Etudes"/studies, experiments, without significant editing.
Therefore, they often seem imperfect, in their articulation, dynamics, progression.
I still decided to upload them here on MP3.COM, not so much for artistic reasons rather than for documentary purpose,
to give some insight into the musical creation process.
I often use these improvisations for actual compositions,
harvesting these recordings for harmonies and novel phrases.
