Jen and Juice was a weekend long project. It was comprised of members Jen Collier (piano/vocals), Mat Peluso (guitars, bass), and Chad Chastain (drums). This is kind of an odd story. I was involved in an audio recording school, The Recording Workshop, in the latter part of the year 2000. Chad Chastain, a resident of Conway, Arkansas, and I, a resident of Fort Smith, Arkansas, decided to hang out up there together. We didn't know each other prior to the workshop, so we actually met each other up there. He had met a girl up there named Jen, a resident of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She had a crap load of amazing recordings of her piano/vocal arrangements. The three of us decided to give a musical project a go. I had a song that I wasn't doing anything with, so I decided to contribute it to the group. After already having a session set up, we realized we didn't have this song together. We arranged this song within an hour and a class of six, with instructor, proceeded to record our song. The recording itself has outstanding sound quality, as we were in an amazing studio. The song, however, could have been performed much better, had we the time. So, rather then leave this sitting in my cd collection, listening to it every now and then, I have decided to share it with you. Enjoy.
